Gotham Re-Edit

Like many who watched the finale of Gotham, I was a little disappointed by the final shot of the show’s version of the Batman suit. Don’t get me wrong I love Gotham, I love the finale but that final shot was definitely less cool than it should have been. So, in response to that, I made my own version using the look Batman had in the video game Batman: Arkham Knight. While I was at it I intercut scenes from other Batman movies. The idea was, that during Gordon’s first meeting with the Batman the audience sees a flash-forward to all of Batman’s future- from fighting Joker in “The Dark Knight”, to uniting with Superman in “Batman v. Superman”, solving the mysteries of the Riddler in Matt Reeves upcoming “The Batman”, the monument in “The Dark Knight Rises” and finally to the time the world was first introduced to a silver screen Batman in Tim Burton’s “Batman.” This was a relatively simple video with only motion tracking, compositing, color correcting, and editing used in the final product.
